Today, late at night, I 3D printed MODESTs’ first 6 slot disc prototype. For the perfect fit, perfect rotation, manual dispensing trials.

It was made of 2 seperate parts, placed on the table to simply see alignments, see chip slot tolerances. Surprisngly, the disc mechanism was promising it might actually work! This is good news as I was sceptical at first- will this ever work? Will a vertical feeder be able to sweep out chips? The answer was yes! But it was not perfect of course. I made the depth of each slot higher than the chip itself. This meant that it would always stack 2 chips to feed out “1”.

Rabbit hole I went. This marks the day I started, let’s see how long it takes to actually get it done ;k

After learning how to write on a split keybaord (ErgoDox Ez). I literally spent over 2 weeks (~6hrs/day) on monkeytype.com to learn how to write again, more about it in a deticated post! Anyways after a while idea came to my mind: “I need a smaller, more portable and possibly even wireless keyboard?”.
